My True Love gave to me...
A Pumpkin in an Ackee tree!
This pumpkin vine quietly crept up the fence, clung to the ackee tree's leaves, then to its branches, quietlyly flowered, then cavalierly hung its fruit in unlikely suspension.
Yes, and as nature took it's course, we patiently waited until the last leaf on the vine dried. This morning, ready for the picking, the pumpkin allowed Charmaine to carefully do the honours.
Soon it will be transformed into our favourite; Cream of Pumpkin Soup, sweeetened by the silky slick cream of the cocomut, an all time favourite with our dinner guests.
