For a candid, impromptu walk through Neita's Nest Bed and Breakfast with J. Nichole Noel, visit our home page and click on the link to her video. So inspired was she one morning on her first vacation in Jamaica that she documented and shared. Thanks J. Nichole.

Wikipedia says that, depending on convention and model, there are between 4 and 7 Continents in the world. Using Jamaica's convention, our Bed and Breakfast website has been visited 3,083 times by 2,200 persons from 577 cities in 60 countries on 6 (of the 7) Continents! Not bad for 18 months of operations.
Now let's get real...
We are pleased to say that we have welcomed guests from 25 cities in 13 countries on 4 Continents. And what's more, 41% of our guests found us exclusively from our website.
As we say in Jamaica, "Wi name ga'an abroad"
When a guest comes,
When they want fun,
When they are want a great time
I simply recommend one of my favourite things...
A visit to Devon House in Kingston.
Touring this historic landmark exposes the sensibilities to some of our gentler and gentile experiences. An equally delightful walk through the many shops in the garden courtyard excites all the senses to experience things Jamaican; chocolates, patties, tropical fruit-flavoured ice creams, art and craft, jewelry, rums, fine dining and wines, enjoyed equally by locals and visitors. The surrounding lawns with park benches offer the perfect vantage point for watching the traffic go by in the distance, assuring that you are either on vacation or know how to find time to truly live.
Built in 1881 by the first Jamaican millionaire, George Stiebel, Devon House sits in all its grandeur on 11 acres of sprawling greenery in the heart of this capital city.
Spoken Word Artiste, J. Nichole Noel chose Neita's Nest Bed and Breakfast for the Kingston leg of her first vacation in Jamaica. As if the stars aligned in her favour, she seemed to channel top Jamaican painters, entertainers and producers and was able to have audience with many. Masters of the Fine Arts Alexander Cooper and Stafford Schlieffer, Producer and Song Writer Mikey Bennett, Theatre Producer and Patron of the Performing Arts Buddy Pouyatt, Allah of the Chalice Band, Saxophonist, the inimitable Dean Fraser, and Grammy Award Nominees Freddie McGreggor and Beres Hammond all made her 9 days memorable.
J. Nichole is in love with life and passionate about sharing her gift of the written and spoken word. She shared just-penned compositions inspired by her experiences during her visit, as well as snippets from her recent production "For Women Only...But, Men Can Come Too", first staged in Brampton, Ontario and about to go on tour this summer.
There was a rhyme and a reason for her being here at Neita's Nest.
Hanging out under the stars with the stars at Port Royal, Kingston.
I was in the kitchen making lasagnas and heard my guest, Basil calling urgently, Michelle...Michelle! I hurriedly joined him on the verandah and, lo and behold, another breathtaking vista from Neita's Nest.. This time, a full arched rainbow grounded between interlocking mountains. Thanks for capturing it, Basil.
These are a few of my favourite things...
Moon Jamaica Handbook (Sixth Edition) maps out a fantastic best-of-Jamaica 14-day tour beginning in Montego Bay and arriving in Kingston on Day 8.
Book Neita's Nest for your 3-day home stay as you explore some of the highlights of our capital city: the National and Mutual Galleries and many smaller but equally interesting ones; Liberty Hall with The Legacy of Marcus Garvey; Legend Cafe at the Bob Marley Museum; the Royal Hope Botanical Gardens with it's monthly open-air performance by the Jamaica Military Band; historic Devon House with great shopping and dining/bar experiences; the University of the West Indies where 18th century plantation ruins, World War II refugee camps and modern faculties buildings gracefully share 653 beautifully landscaped acres; Gloria's (seafood) Restaurant and Fort Charles in Port Royal, and a boat trip to Lime Cay for sun, sea and sand; local and international restaurants in the most interesting of settings; National Heroes Park which weaves the tale of Jamaica's social and political history. For a change of climate, a scenic drive through the Blue Mountains and an exhilarating hike through Holywell Recreational Park, with a tour of coffee farms and a taste of Blue Mountain Coffee.
Yes, you can do it all in 3 days. But stay longer and discover even more reasons why Kingston is the cultural capital of the Caribbean.
Susanne wishes she were still here in sunny Jamaica and at Neita's Nest. We do too. What a lovely guest she was! Full of fun, adventurous and open to all Jamaica has to offer. What Susanne packed in during her 2 weeks vacation, brings a whole new meaning to the term "Discover Jamaica." (Thanks Daddy).
Walk good and come back soon, Susanne.
Our Food Writer is back and Neita's Nest was home again for her. It was our pleasure to introduce her as our first repeat visitor having vacationed earlier this year with us. She added to our multi-cultural vibes recently and there was so much to share. Welcome home, Rachel.
Neita's Nest Jamaican Bed & Breakfast was a multi-cultural haven recently. Suzanne arrived from Paris on a business trip and her film crew recommended she stay with us. Insightful conversations over delectable meals enriched our sunrise breakfasts every morning that week. C'est bon!
